Rising demand for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), cloud computing and managed services is placing escalating pressures on various solution providers to better position themselves in this increasingly competitive marketplace.
 
THINKstrategies was founded to help organizations capitalize on the business benefits being generated by the shift in the technology industry from product-centric to services-driven solutions. 
 
Last year, I worked with over 100 companies seeking to better understand the business implications of this trend--including enterprises re-thinking their sourcing strategies; solution providers re-thinking their go-to-market strategies; and tech investors re-thinking their investment strategies.
 
The new year has brought even greater attention to the rapidly evolving cloud computing, SaaS and managed services markets. The on-demand services movement has produced new alliances, fueled more acquisitions and forced more corporate restructurings. New Cloud Computing Business Value (CCBV) Award Program
In January, THINKstrategies unveiled a new initiative to promote the business benefits of cloud computing -- the Cloud Computing Business Value (CCBV) Awards.
 
This new awards program builds on the success of THINKstrategies' Best of SaaS Showplace (BoSS) Awards program, which was launched a year ago, to bring greater attention to SaaS providers which are delivering measurable business benefits to their customers. Since that time, we have received a continuous stream of nominations which have produced over forty BoSS Award winners worldwide, across a wide array of areas.
 
The new CCBV Awards program focuses on the business benefits being derived from today's Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings. Like the BoSS Award program, the CCBV Awards is an ongoing program.

SaaS Primers
THINKstrategies has published two primers to help CIOs and independent software vendor (ISV) executives better understand the real benefits and challenges associated with SaaS.
 
The SaaS primer for CIOs helps them better understand these on-demand service alterantives to on-premise applications.
 
The SaaS Primer for ISVs help these companies better understand these operational requirements. The Primer includes THINKstrategies' fifteen point scorecard which have been developed as a part of our SaaS Readiness Assessment Services program.
